Should I see a doctor...

Chlamydia

Please read this disclaimer first.

Chlamydia is a common infection, particularly among young sexually active people. Most people do not have any symptoms. If there are symptoms, they are similar to those for gonorrhoea or NSU (a discharge from the urethra, discomfort on passing urine, an itching or irritation inside the urethra).

Chlamydia is cured by antibiotics, which can be taken in a single dose. If untreated, this infection can cause infertility in women and (less commonly) in men. Untreated chlamydia is the most common cause of infection spreading to the reproductive organs in women (pelvic inflammatory disease). Because it can have such serious consequences, if you think you might have this condition, you should see a doctor without delay. You should not pass urine for 4 hours before seeing the doctor, as passing urine can affect the accuracy of the test results.
